Happy New Year

New Year

EDIT: Last year I was busy working on the official Tsunami fund raising and awareness website [http://www.tsunamimaldives.mv], at least there were some planning ministry nuts screaming and celebrating, and this time unfortunately I have to be all alone in office restoring the mail server to its original state. I guess this is how I might have to spend the rest of the New Year nights. Anyway, boys and gals enjoy a great New Year.

Digg/spy effect

I came across with the "digg/spy" when browsing ajaxian for my weekly updates and found the coolest WEB 2.0 implementation, at least for this year. Whats cool about digg/spy is that it uses AJAX to update itself with the latest comments on the news items on digg, in short a real-time view of digg.

Below are some other cool Web 2.0 applications you might like:

Some dude just published a video showing a Xbox360 being hacked using a PSP, and he intend to release the hack on 28th this month, so far there is no solid proof that this video is real or not, but hey shame on you Microsoft.

PSP firmware downgrader

I guess this month will be the most exciting month for all the PSP owners who had the 1.51/2.0 firmware on their PSP's. I know 2 PSP owners in Male, they were able to downgrade there PSPs from 1.51 to 1.50. So what’s so exciting about downgrading? PSP's with <= 1.50 firmware can run homebrew on them, which mean you can play any game downloaded from the internet, Well not every game but most games with emulators or the UMD loaders. Anyone who is interested in downgrading there PSP's please read this tutorial and here is a link to the Downgrader.

BTW PSP count in Malé as of my knowledge is 8. Hope we can have a WLAN game party soon.

So I have written a small search plugin for Firefox, this is not official for now just download this file and unzip them into "Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins\" and you'll have new search plugin on your firefox browser. Hope this will be useful.
